While Killarney Athletic were always going to be favourites going into this game they had to pull out all the stops to get the better of a very spirited Park side, who gave their opponents a good run for their money.

The Premier B side showed no fear of their illustrious opponents, but they were lacking in that bit of experience against an Athletic side who are used to winning big games. The Park held their own well in the first half and the game was scoreless at half-time.
Athletic stamped their authority on the game in the second half and they went ahead after an hour from the penalty spot. The Park did their best to try and secure an equaliser, but a late goal by Athletic clinched the game.
While the better side won on the day The Park must have been happy with their performance and the Tralee side will be back playing in Premier A in the not too distant future.
